Lavan Tricks Jacob – who learns how to Deal with Crooks
In this Portion of Deceptions - so
The Jacob Israel Nation has survived over 3000 years.
As the Jimmy Daurante song went – ya gotta know and decide when to leave
So Jacob pulls up stakes and takes the family home to Israel
.And G-d protects us - and warns Lavan his father in law to not attack
It's my (wonderful) father-in-law's Yahrzeit today.
He was a total straight shooter.
(Good thing for a paratrooper in those days- 1967)
May his family be blessed - and all of us.
But the Jacob story continues the next few weeks -
with other deceptions and survival strategies.
