Were destroyed because of people's sins- the 2nd

Being needless hatred and greed.

 

You can meticulously build something 

 

But when you don't watch out

For the Babylonians or the Romans -

It all goes up in smoke.

 

Recent archaeology uncovered

A house from Eglon - destroyed 2700 years ago

By Babylonians

 

And the archaeologist in charge found artifacts pointing to a multi generation family living there in harmony  and respect.

 

That period, though, was one of split between

The Israelite kingdom and the Judean kingdom

 

Which led to the former being destroyed

And the latter surviving a while longer.

 

We have much to learn from Temple's destructions.

The second by needless hatred.
